If you were to look at my jeans drawer, you would find the color blue. Just
blue. All mostly boot cut. Not a single pair skinny. I’ve looked at skinny jeans
out of the corner of my eye like, “yea, I don’t think so!”
I think the last time I wore skinny jeans was in the 90s…EARLY 90s at that. I
just haven’t been able to put a pair on.
Now, let’s talk about color. I’m not a
colored
jeans kind of gal. hmmm let me rephrase that. I
wasn’t a colored
jeans kind of gal. Honestly, I’d never, eh-ver put a pair on. I just couldn’t
bring myself to do it. Then I had an opportunity to wear skinny jeans that were
colored.

Oh man, I was going out on a limb. I figure, this is the best way to do it! I
can review them and if I’m horrified by what I’m testing out, I can tell the
company “um, thanks, but no thanks.” What I’ll be telling Skinny Jeans is, “plan
on sending me a rainbow of colors.”
HA! My daughters would probably faint if they read those words. They know me.
They know the box I live in with my clothes: no patterns, no crazy, bright
colors, no frills, etc. The times they are a changin’!
I asked Skinny Jeans to send me a pair of their Team Colors collection and
the colors I chose were as “mellow” as possible. hahaha Yea, I went for color,
but tried to take the “safest” ones possible. When I got the gold pair in my
package I was a little nervous. Also, ordering jeans online makes me worried
because most lines of jeans fit completely different so who knows how they work
on my body. Plus, I wear “Tall” jeans. Ugh, they are so hard to find.
The telling moment was when I slipped them on. First I my reaction was, “Oh
my gosh, they totally fit me!” My second reaction was, “I love these jeans!”
hahahaha Totally not the reaction I was expecting from myself.

I was so thrilled that they were long enough to touch the top of my feet.
That’s my length test. Not to my ankles, not to where the ankle and foot come
together…the TOP of my feet. I prefer them to even fall to my heel. What I
didn’t realize when I told them the jeans I wanted was they’re made with Spandex
so they really fit your body well!
My
next
test was going out into public. Being someone who doesn’t step out of her box
when it comes to fashion, walking out to the house in gold jeans wasn’t easy. I
know that sounds silly, but I don’t like attention focused on me and I thought,
holy moly, yellow jeans will definitely draw attention.
Coming out from underneath my rock, I realized, “dude, you’re not the only
one wearing colored jeans!” lol Fred and our kids went bowling and I thought it
would be a fun way to break them in. When my oldest son and I were getting ready
to head out the door, I realized we pretty much matched! I was wearing grey,
purple and gold. He was wearing his Vikings
football
sweatshirt that were exactly the same colors! I couldn’t convince him to
wear his Vikings baseball hat.

We got to the bowling alley and aside from a few glances, no one stared an
pointed! Go figure! =) I was so comfortable in the jeans I finally forgot about
the color and just really enjoyed how they felt and how happy I was to have
stepped out of my comfort zone. And I’m not kidding. I already know that I want
a pair of their medium red jeans and probably the dark or medium gray. Heck, if
they ever want a spokesperson, they can absolutely call me!
Now, speaking of colors, these gold Skinny Jeans are going to work well for
sports that I watch. Like I said before, they’re Vikings colored so it’ll go
perfect with my Percy Harvin jersey. Fred and his kids love the Steelers, but I
can’t ever see myself wearing black and gold. Great guy, but I’m sticking to my
Vikings! My girls’ college is purple and gold, but more of a true gold, but I’d
wear my jeans and their school shirts in support. I think I may need a pair of
purple Team Colors for my Vikings and their college! I’m telling you, a rainbow
of colors at my fingertips!

So, they sold me. Not just on their Team Colors line, but I’ve been wanting
to try out a couple of their other lines as well. We shall see! The construction
of the Skinny Jeans does exactly what they say they will do, they “skinny-fy”
your lower half! Let me just say, the jeans put a smile on my face where that’s
concerned.
And last but most importantly, these jeans are made in the USA! “These jeans
are
All American-- the denim is milled in the US
and the jeans are cut, sewn and washed in Los Angeles, CA.”
Now, it’s time for you to win a pair of these awesome Team Colors Skinny
Jeans!
