Let's talk fashion! I LOVE IT!! Now I will not by any means call myself a "fashionista" or say that I am the most fashionable lady on the block, but for a stay at home momma of 3 I think I do fairly well. ;-) However, being that I am that stay at home momma of 3, I don't spend a lot of money on clothes for myself. I probably buy clothes for my kids 3 times more than I buy for myself, if not more!
Since I don't buy clothes for myself too often I feel like I miss some of the latest "trends". Well one of my favorite trends right now is colored jeans! I just think they are so so fun! Unfortunately because I don't buy a lot of clothes, and since I am still trying to tone up a bit from welcoming sweet baby girl 5 months ago I haven't purchased any of these fun jeans!
Recently I was given the chance to try out a pair of Skinny Jeans in their Team Colors. And I was very excited! Now the one thing that made me a little nervous about the jeans is they are said to "make you look thinner" , now I am a pretty thin girl, I mean I have a little baby pudge in the belly left, but as for my legs and such I have just always been slim...so I didn't really want my legs to look thinner. Nonetheless I was excited to try a pair out!
I was sent the Team Colors jeans in Gold in a size 28. Now these jeans retail for $159! I have never in my life paid more than $50 for a pair of pants, so before they even arrived I told my hubs that these jeans would really need to be amazing for me to encourage anyone to buy them at that price point. So my jeans arrived and I was just getting ready for the day so I decided to put them on. Within 5 minutes I was telling my hubs that I REALLY REALLY wanted another pair!
These pants are incredible!! Honestly they are my favorite pants that I have ever owned!! The only reason I haven't purchased another pair already is that my husband is considering taking a job closer to home, which is going to mean a pay cut...so I am trying to be a little more frugal, so instead of jumping in right away and buying a pair I am going to save and get some in the near future! ;-)
Ok, so lets talk details about these pants. The gold color is really pretty, they are beautiful bright yellow! I think they are a color that will look great year round, so I am very excited about that! The rise on these pants are incredible! The inside non-stretch pocket lining is sewn together acting as a restraining panel to flatten the stomach! Incredible!!! There are certain shirts I avoid wearing right now, until I get back into shape...but with these pants that problem doesn't exist! Love that!!
These pants are great on length! I am 5'7 , so not TALL, but not short. I sometimes have a problem finding pants that are a good length, but these pants are actually long on me, the first time I wore them was with flats and I actually had to roll them up a little bit. So my only thought was with a shorter girl I don't know how well these would fit, so I did ask the company about that. She said that they get that same comment a lot, so they have been thinking about making the next round of their Team Colors a little shorter. However their other jeans do come in different inseams :)
I wore these pants out a couple of times now and I always get told how nice they are! My hubs was even impressed with them, when we looked on the website he thought they would make me look to thin as well (remember I mentioned that little fear earlier). However, they don't, they fit wonderfully and I love the look of them and so does the hubs. ;-)
